70s Strat

Let me guess.. you bought camera stuff with the money from the Strat? Hobbies get traded for other hobbies sometimes (unless photography isn't a hobby for you, in that case ignore me). I wish you had sold that strat to me, but then I wouldn't have any money for camera stuff. :D

Love the shot too, some day I'll get time to try some guitar photos.

Kinda curious about the depth of field. I've been trying a lot of shots like this, but to isolate just one object on a specific focal plane isnt something I've been able to do. Im guessing that the blur is from post processing? Very nice pic!

Tough choice...Strat vs. Camera.

I held on to some of my axes.
I was going to sell my Strat...but just couldn't do it!

Using a "fast" lens like a 50 1.4 or 50 1.8 would give you narrow enough DoF to help you isolate things easily. Plus, the closer you are, the narrower it becomes.

The blur isn't from PP, it's a result of the narrow DoF.

that's right - it isn't PP, just DoF. I only liked the guitar cos it looked cool. Sounded terrible...
