I'd like some advice on how to improve the shot.

Whist the image makes a nice abstract or at least the starting point of one.
I think I'd prefer to see more of the subject or at least something a little more exciting than just the tip of a leaf in focus. Perhaps if the were a spider on the tip it would give it that added interest!
