I was in Bolton town centre today returning my sunpak flash as it decided it wouldnt work with the 1.08 firmware on my 40d (see an earlier thread of mine). I swapped the sunpak flash for a canon 430EX instead. I decided to test it and what better to test it on, there is a brand new statue outside the dixons shops i was in.

so heres a test shot with my new flash gun.

Well, I love Bolton, been to the town centre on many occasions, but you're photo is boring. Sorry.

honestly the UK is a complete joke now, kids have no respect and adults cant do anythin about it. Gone are the days where kids respected thier elders and the police/law. All the stupid EU human right bollox and to many do gooders.
At one time if a kid swore at a police officer, parent or teacher they would of got a smack now you cant do anything

Wonder what Fred would have done; a right good belt round the ear with the famous words in his unique voice "did you like that?"...

At least you guys get to defend yourselfs with guns over here if someone breaks in your house they'll more than likely have a knife and you'll have to go at them with your bare hands a drive around the council estate over here will have you thinking that you've got a paradise over there ha ha .

some one i know got was asleep in there bed when a guy who had broke into their house. His dad give the guy a beating but got a suspended sentance lol

so if someone breaks in your house over here you get a criminal record if you touch them

Unfortunately, we live in a country where criminals have more rights than their victims; As far as I'm concerned, if someone breaks into your house then they leave their human rights at the door - If they want to risk it, so be it; If not, then they shouldn't be breaking into your house in the first place. I don;t live in a nice area, and the risk of getting broken into is quite high - I'll say one thing, though; It'd be worth going to jail just to have the opportunity to show the scumbags the wrong end of a baseball bat.

Of course, the prison system ain't much better; Prisoners have it easier on the inside than they do on the outside - They don't have to work for a living, for a start; All their taxes are paid for them, someone cooks and cleans for them; It's no wonder we've got overcrowded prisons! I'd be a lot better off if I was inside instead of working for a living. Prisons have become safehouses for criminals, not a threat - And then the Government wonders why crime is rising, why people are getting stabbed and shot left right and centre.. Absolute joke.

[/rant]

ANYway, back to the OP.. Fred Dibnah was a great man, a wonderful traditionalist. I think it only fair that he gets a statue.. And typical of the modern generation that it's been defaced.
