Circular Polarizer - Car Show in Evening - Question

I am a N00b to photography. I asked a question in the lighting section regarding a car show that is running from 6pm-12am. Recieved good feedback regarding using high ISO, slower shutter speed and fill flash if needed since it will be under street lights.

New question is. Should I use a CP to intesify the colors of the cars and lower the glare?

In the evening you will probably see less strong reflections that you need the polarizer to filter out. However it can be a great tool in balancing the reflections on different parts of the car body.

Remember that it also acts as a density filter and cuts down on the light reaching the sensor. As the light fades you may need to move to a tripod earlier than without the filter to maintain sharpness. The benefit is that you can take a few shots with the filter in different rotations (which cuts reflections in different parts of the body or to different degrees) and then blend them together to your liking in photoshop. This is a bit more advanced but a handy tool as you look for more control in your images.

If the sun is out, save the best cars for right before sunset. If it's overcast you can shoot from 6PM on.
Don't expect too much from the flash shots except for light colored or silver cars.
