Just purchased first digital camera (S70) last week so I joined your forum group yesterday. Hello, everybody!
Being somewhat cyber-challenged, I can't figure out how to get RAWcrw images from ZoomBrowser5.0 into Photoshop without first converting them to TIFFs or Jpegs. I know RAWs need to be converted at some point for most uses but I would prefer to do most or all editing to a RAW image in Elements2.0 (soon to buy 3.0) rather than in the browser area. I thought placing it in a file and sending it to or opening it from PSE2or3 in MyPictures would do it but I can't find a way to get RAWs to go anywhere without conversion into TIFFs or Jpegs first. HELP requested. Thanks.

There really is no way to get an image from RAW in FVU or EVu over to PSE or any other editor program without it first being converted to TIFF or JPEG. There is a File >> Transfer Image command in FVU and EVU that will automatically take the image into the photo editor but the process still requires a TIFF or JPEG file to be created.

The only way to do what you want without an intervening image file is to do the RAW conversion with PSCS or PSE3 or any other editor that supposed direct RAW conversion and editing.

Hi and welcome.

Unfortunately, Elements 2 cannot process RAW. Elements 3 does, and it works great. I too consider myself "challenged" in photography and post processing, and I find PS3 to be a great learning tool. In addition, I purchased Scott Kelby's book and 123di and both realy help.

Good luck.
