Hey all, just recently I was taking shots of my wife's class and i wasn't sure how to get the best results. Is it best to focus on one person in the center and use a high f-stop for wider DOF?

I was using my 17-55 at F5 and ISO 600 due to the dim lighting.

thanks!!

Is it best to focus on one person in the center and use a high f-stop for wider DOF? Thats probably your best bet. What camera? Try ISO 1600 & shoot some tests. If you get the exposure right, it's not all that bad.
