Hi,

probalry I am missing something simple but I cannot work it out.

Just practicing with 2 flashes off camera & using a sekonic L-308S light meter.

I have read the manual but obviously I cannot see the trees for the forrest.

I set the shutter speed to 1/125, ISO to 100, & the lighting bolt is bracketed plus the letter T.Do a test & the apeture reading is always very low at 1.4 then a small 4 next to that.I also have the LUmisphere(plastic bubble?) over the lens.

I have put the apeture between 8 - 11 & get enough light so 1.4 would be way to bright.

Can someone tell me what i am doing wrong please?

If the two flashes you are using are the 430EX and 580EXII in your sig they will have to be in manual mode to use the meter. If they are not in manual mode what the meter is seeing is the ETTL pre-flash.
