Does anyone know of any good books with interesting pictures of airplanes in them? My son - who's 3 - just had a tooth extracted yesterday with only novicane. I told him he can have whatever he wants as a reward and that is what he wanted most. I cried the entire time he was getting it done. Thank God my husband was in with him. I honestly thought I was going to lose it. They literally had to strap him in a velcro wrap to keep him from moving his arms. I have never felt more guilty and useless as a Mom in my life. The dentist said we couldn't have avoided the cavity with brushing. It started in between the teeth and flossing is the only thing that would've prevented it. 3 years old! Poor kid. And there I was being the baby.

Anyway, back on topic here - are there any good airplane books for kids with neat pictures and not too much reading involved?

Thanks.

Hi Mum,

A simple google search listed a ton of results. Amazon looks like they have something you may be looking for.

Osprey/Motor Books International publishes a series of soft-cover photo books; there's text with them, but emphasis is on the photos. They're, I guess the best description is "historical", about an aircraft type or a group, or such. You might also look for John Dibbs' Flying Legends. All photos; I've seen it at Borders for around $20.

Thanks Jeff. I actually did do a search there. But I'm looking more for a book of just pictures of different types of airplanes. I guess that's not necessarily a children's book, but rather, child friendly. Does that make sense? I figured since some members here actually photograph airshows, etc., they may be able to help.

I'll through this on in for good measure!! This is from the Redbull Airraces. It is called a Edge 540 Aerobatic.
EDIT: Told my wife the story and she really does not like going to the Dentist, ususally requires full sedation
( we have decent insureance so no need to use the rubber mallet... again vbg).
She said send more shots.

So here are two more shots. 1st is US Navy Blue Angel #5 on a high speed "Sneak pass"
Next is USMC Cobra Attack Helicopter landing next to a US Air Force C-5.

Go to your office max or other such store get some cold lamination sheets, print 5x, laminate hole punch and yarn. Viola a custom made one of a kind aircraft library book. When Maruder61, RCoulter and
some of the others get wind of this you may need more photo paper. If you need a limited copyright release let me know.
