If your wife, girlfried, mother, daughter etc asked you what type of camera equipment you wanted for Christmas for $500 and under......what would be on your wish list? Just curious.........(plus itll give me some ideas :) )

Maybe a good tripod. The only thing I would like apart from that is a zoom lens, and I can't get one of the quality i'd like for $500.

I second that.
Tripod+head (Manfrotto 3021ProB legs and 3030 head will do) and a 2GB Sandisk Ultra-II CF card maybe.
