Let's try to triangulate on a shipping date. I was told by Ritz in Denver that they should be shipping from their warehouse in mid-October. Any other reports? I had the G2 for less than 30 days and loved it, but decided to return it for a G3 while I could get a full refund. Wolf (Ritz) in Denver was very accomodating.

I don't know...but if you get an early shipping date from a quality dealer...let us all know!

I held off on the G2 and am waiting for the G3, but need it before I leave for a trip at the end of October...

Hope they are out before then!

Hi, Ordered my G3 from Amazon.com, says shipping date will be 10/1, hope sooner, will post as soon as camera arrives, Canon S9000 due tomorrow, will be fun printing what I do have from my Toshiba PDR-M25.

Amazon says 11/1, not 10/1...huge difference for me! :)

I just checked Amazon today and it looks like they are showing this now...

This item will be released on December 30, 2002. You may order it now and we will ship it to you when it arrives.

Just called my local store and they have one (only one!) in stock. So they are arriving beginning today I think.

Here in Sweden, they'll start the first shippings in the end of november/beginning of december... :)

I have a pending order at amazon.com for a G3. The G3 page at amazon says December 30 as expected arrival date, however my order page says expected shipping date is 11-5 with arrival of 11-7. I sure hope the earlier date is correct, I will confirm when my camera arrives. Also I ordered this camera for $799.00 U.S., and later amazon offered a price of 759.00 U.S. I cancelled my original order and re-ordered at this lower price. The price today is back to $799 U.S. Also this order qualified for free shipping, huray…

National Camera Exchange in Minneapolis said that 4 G3's arrived in their warehouse yesterday, but they already have standing orders for 10.

I was able to find the G3 for $739.99 plus free shipping from www.techdepot.com. There's also a $15 off $200 coupon: LST363 that you can use with this order. Plus, if you're a member of ebates.com, you get 3% back the amount of your order. This results in a price of about $703+. Sounds like a good deal to me. 8)

G3's are in. On my way to pick mine up at National Camera. B&H also emailed that they are now available for shipping.
