I just got my 20D. I really like my old screw in mount lens though.(fixed focus)
Has any one had success with the adapter mounts they sell. I know I would be back to my basic manual camera, but I have never used a zoom lens, and this whole electronic thing is kind of intimidating.

You can use quite a few old lens types on EOS.
The M42 mount (pentax screwmount) and nikon lenses are the easiest and cheapest to get adapters for but adapters are also available for contax/yashica,olympus and leica R lenses.Tamron adaptall and old T mount lenses can also be used
Focusing is manual only of course but metering can be semi-auto.Select the aperture on the lens and set the camera to Av.The camera will choose the right shutter speed .
Even the flash will work reasonably well!
Buy screw mount and nikon adapters off ebay for around $30.Maybe you can find other brand ones there too-otherwise you'll have to pay extortionate prices ($175 for a peice of metal??!!!)
Canon FD and minolta MD lenses can't be adapted because they would need to mount closer than the EOS camera will allow
