Quite funny shooting these- not likely to fly off but as soon as they see a camera lens approach they walk round the other side of the leaf :)

All absolutely superb shots, lighting is great.

When you say 'full flash', surely you dont mean pop up flash do you?

Linda - no I mean using an external flash gun with the camera in M mode rather than Av or Tv mode.

Tell me about it, i end up chasing them round and round, bush crickets are the same, always turning away from camera :-)

very funny i had one do the same thing with me, i turned about 270 degrees around a stem...then i finally decided to call it quits..

nice shots BTW, i love the Mug shots...i hope to get some today.

thanks brian. it seems like i have used thst tactic with a sketchy leafhoper one time, just didnt think about it that time...lol
