Pat Benatar kicked off her Summer tour in Richardson on Friday with an incredible show. Her voice was excellent and her husband Neil's guitar playing was rocking as if we were back in the 80's. I have seen hundreds of bands live and this was one of the best performances I have seen.

Enjoy

Guero you have a distinctive style that's great already. The green sparkle tones on Neil's guitar on the 4th and 8th photo are fabulous.

Wow thank you! I appreciate that. I'm still striving to always get better with each show so hopefully that comes across. Thanx again and any C&C is always welcome as well.

Solid set, although some images need a crop.
Somewhat "much of the same", but I guess that's what you got on stage...

Last one is nice for a change though.

Terrific series!! Tack sharp and spot on exposure.

Guess there's something to be said for Pat's classical training. The best voices usually last the longest!

Rock On...

Yes her training has paid off because she sounds awesome all these years later even on the stronger notes like at the end of Hell is for Children. She also still has her soft voice too and it's awesome to see her and Neil just jamming together. What an awesome show it was.

Here's one more as I continue to process them. Thanx again everyone!

Nice pictures. I was thinking of going out there with my camera. Never got the time to go though. I actually work at the buildings that surroned the fest in Richardson. We didnt even get free tickets, just discounted....haha...Did you have any trouble with anyone or did you have a pass to bring you camera/lens?

When I was a teenager, I wanted to run away and sing back up for her. :) She still is amazing. Great captures. Very jealous.

Well just a heads up on Pat Benatar, the band Does Not allow photography at her show. However, her security let us shoot the first 2 songs like the media then we had to put away out cameras.

However there were several thousand people there and at least a hundred people were shooting the show so they couldn't stop those out in the crowd. Oh well, I got a few shots at least.

Thanx littleman and Suzy, glad ya'll liked them.

Most entertainers do that. At the last concert with Ms Gladys Knight, no one was allowed to photograph her. We all respected that because it was in a church. But at the concert halls, there is no stopping the flashes. People take out their cell phones to take a 300 feet away picture.

Nice set but I agree with Rene about some tighter crops. And who knows why they have the rules they have about photography, sigh.

Thank you Mark and leeport. get out and try a concert if you can they are challenging if you haven't shot any but lots of fun.

Neil is awesome live. The sound was dead on and especially for an opening night of their tour. The chemistry they have with each other is incredible. Glad ya'll liked. Have a good one!
