Hello.
Have been looking for a printer for awhile and stopped with loxley print, very happy with the service but the shots are darker then what i see on screen.
I'm guessing it's my screen thats at fault.
Also to the people who have used loxley before, do you colour corect or not?
Thanks guys
Lee

It's a common problem that prints are returned darker that they appear on screen, it's happened to me in the past more than once.
You could try turning down the brightness of your screen if it is whacked up high.

If your monitor isn't calibrated with a proper calibration device, then yes, you're guessing. You need to get calibrated pronto.

What would be the cheapest way to calibrate?

The Pantone Huey is the cheapest device available, I believe. Up from that you have the Spyder or GretagMacbeth/Xrite systems.
My GretagMacbeth Eye-One Display II set me back a few hundred Aussie dollars, but it's a sound investment. I always recommend that every photographer buy a calibrator before they spend a single cent on another lens/flash/etc.
Or, there must be somebody near you who provides a monitor calibration service - I guess you could google it.

Adobe gamma will get you in the right ballpark, & it's free. You can check the calibration a bit better in Post #6 of this (wordy) thread: (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=158158)
