Took some pictures of the Mustang this past weekend. Some turned out better than others. Here's a few of the better ones.

Nice Pictures, but may I mention something... you may want to erase the license plate numbers...

hopefully no one here would do anything with the license plate info, but always safe to do that on the internet.
Nice shots, I love seeing other people's Mustangs. I need to take some shots of my '93 5.0 sometime

I'd say a few hundred people see my licence plate per day just from daily driving. I'd worry more about those folks than the ones on here. ;-)

I was going to suggest removing the plate too, but because it would make the pics look less like personal shots and more brochure like

Really nice, sharp photos, but you might want to experiment with some effects in photoshop. Use the lasso and put the car in a separate layer. Then you can experiment with different backgrounds. You can put different colors, blur, etc. There are a zillion things you can do. Give it a try and see what you like.
Also, if you have PS Album, you can make a real nice calendar using your favorite car photo(or 12 of 'em!). I like those.

pretty nice for an American car.. j/k. But yeah, maybe some more DOF in the shots and a blurred background could really help the car stand out.

When it comes to cars. I like to see mostly everything done in camera.. So if your gonna blur or make the car look like it's moving.. Then do it for real. Get a driver to drive the car and you get yourself in position to do what you gotta do. that's how I am ..
Very nice car. I notice the mustan is one of those cars that looks good from up high angles and down low angles. It's weird, but it just works. hehe..
Great shots.. Show us more..
Remember to close in on odd detail .

If I'm not mistaken, it's a 1999 edition (35th aniversay model).... have to wait for Kiernan's response to be sure though

It's actually a 2004 model. 40th Anniversary. Really wish it was an '05 model, though...those '05s are gorgeous.
I plan on taking some moving shots with it this weekend. If any of them turn out worth anything, I'll post a few.

These are all with the 28-135 IS. I did a set with the 18-55 and polarizing filter, but for some reason, every picture I took was horridly blurry. I still need to look into why that happened. For my next set, I hope to have a polarizing filter to fit the 28-135. Kinda hard to justify a new filter to my better half with Christmas a week away, though.

Because the background was so close to the car, I had a hard time finding an aperture that allowed the entire car to be in focus and the background to be out of focus. Next time, I'll be better prepared and park the car further away.

Nice '04! It is always nice to see a fellow stanger on other forums. I have a quite a few myself..... Absolutely love stangs. Maybe try and find a park next time to give you a better background and a little more contrast. I am looking forward to getting one of the newer models... maybe not an '05, more like '07 or so. Again, nice car!

Was the entire picture fuzzy?
If so; it might be the 1 stop pr 2 stops the polarizing filter is sucking up is throwing your shutter speed too low to hand hold.
Just a thought..

I think you're 100% correct on that one. I had the aperture set at the same it would be without the filter.
And here I thought I was too dependent upon my IS.

oh cool, I didn't realize they did a 40th anniversary thing. I saw the emblem on the side of the car and it looked like the 35th anniversary, so that's why I assumed.
I agree, though, I'd love a 2005 model. I've heard rumor that they'll put out the cobra models in 2006, and will be a Shelby Cobra.... not sure if it's still true, but I had heard that a while back and it'd be awesome if it's true.
