Hello all,

Just a quick Photoshop question... sometimes I find that I want to know the exact size (in pixels) of a selection. I know of two ways to do this:

1. Do a SHIFT-CTRL-C (copy merged) and then CTRL-N (new file). The default values for the size of the new file are the size of the selection.

2. ALT-S T (transform selection). Then fill in the width and height boxes at the top with "px" in each box. Canel out of that box and then do transform selection again. This time, the boxes will contain the size of the selection in pixels.

It seems like there should be a more direct way to do this. Am I just missing the obvious?

Thanks!

The Info window/palette shows it dynamically, if your Rulers prefs are set to pixels and not inches or mm.
