After receiving a walk by the pitcher, the coach get three pitches to give the player a chance to hit. Either hit it, or you are out. This is the third pitch, with two outs, and down by one in the top of the 6th. Runners were at 2nd and 3rd when this pitch was hit through the right side of the infield, and both runners scored. It is funny how after feeling so proud, you have to explain what "clutch" means to your 8 year old. They went on to give up two in the bottom of the 6th to a very good hitting team. Game ended 11-10, which full of great defense by both teams. Now it is through the losers bracket to try to meet up with the Indians again.

Aaagogo,
I just had a post going about this in the lens section last week, because all of my shots seem OOF. I did a test with my 85mm, and it seemed to turn out ok, but as soon as I get out in real life, away from the tripod, this is what I get. I did crop the picture, and it was shot with my 28-135, which I am guessing is not the best for shooting sports. Even the pictures that look like I catch focus, turn out not so sharp.

I am picking up a 70-200 f4 IS this morning :), so I am wanting to see if I get the same results it. If so, I might send the camera in to canon to ease my mind.

With this shot, I was just glad that I was able to catch his biggest hit of the year. It is funny, I have been in baseball a long time, but it is a lot more exciting being a dad.
