Last week someone posted a link to an action called "Midnight Sepia". I really liked it, and like the moody atmosphere that it added. I tweaked it here and there and I THINK that it yielded some pretty good results. Any thoughts?

All of these shots were taken in or of Seattle in May of 2004

Couldn't find the link as originally posted, so it is just easier to UL mine and link to my ftp server. Enjoy.

It has the feeling of "sky captain and the world of tomorrow", if you've ever seen that movie, you know what I mean :) I like the 1st the best!

Yes, I did see it. Ya know, just to drift topics for a moment, the whole time I was watching it, I kept saying to myself, "Where have I seen this before? Where have I seen this before? Oh, man, WHERE have I seen this before!?!" It looked SO famillair, espeically when it showed a facial close up - around the eyes - ARRGH! It was so frustrating.

I knew that I had seen it before and I spent the next week trying to place it. It was just like this, except the tint was blue, not sepia. I finally decided that it must be the Georgio Morordor revampin of Fritz Langs "Metropolis". I was not confortable in that decision, but I couldn't think of anything else that had a colorized monochrome.

Then all of the sudden, it hit me, TRON! That is what Sky Captain looked like! And that was back in 1982!

Rad -
I really like the effect in the first shot....for me it works best here because the effect is "scattered"...there is more detail in the photo and it can hold the blends....ie in the other two photos, it doesn't work for me because the effect is too focused and distracts from teh elements. I just look at the photos and think its another ps effect. With the city it bring up the surreal much better....
