As many of you know over the last year and a half I have been maintaining Flying With Fish, a site a site dedicated to informing photogs on how travel smarter , easier and more effectively. Over the past year and a half much of the information I have posted on Flying With Fish has apparently been very useful to non-photogs as well, especially my detailed information on security and airport thefts......and I has been cited by a variety of other outlets along the way.

Well, now having been featured in a few magazines (I was in Popular Photography last month and News Photographer the month before that), and been on a few radio shows.........and now I have filmed a segment for Good Morning America.

I was down in DC last Thursday walking Good Morning America
correspondent Elisabeth Leamy through the steps of quickly and safely getting through a TSA check point, and how to minimize your chances of being the target of an airport thief while in going through security.

.........if anyone is interested my segment should run tomorrow, Tuesday May 20th, on Good Morning America.

Happy Flying

Good for you! Make the most of it!

It's just me, but I wish your home page had a gallery link with a "Skip Intro" button. ;)

Guy,

The problem with a "skip" button on my home page is I have multiple galleries and you can pull down the galleries immediately by clicking on "Swim Through The Fotos" (on www.fishfoto.com) or "A Fisheye View Of The World" (on www.fishfotoworldwide.com).

I do plan on having a new site come fall. I don't really like my sites that much for a variety of reasons, but they do the job for now.

Fish, that is great! I love the gallery.

Congrats. I'll be watching GMA. I watch every morning, watching now. :)

you can pull down the galleries immediately by clicking on "Swim Through The Fotos" Catchy name for a gallery! But for me, it violated the "6 seconds rule" to find what I was looking for, & I was out of there.

Guy,

Really? The 6 second rule? On my three computers, all Mac, running Safari, Firefox, IE, the gallery names on the top all load before the gallery images come in. Typical time is well under 6 seconds (it's actually just under 2.5 seconds)

The 6 second rule? No, not loading times. Regarding "to find what I was looking for."
The 6 second rule (http://writecomposure.com/aboutus.aspx)
Quote: Did you know that before deciding to read almost anything, most people like to scan a page first - especially online? Then they make the decision to read based on what they see by scanning.

Web site visitors want information, benefits, features and they want it now. Statistics show that you have only 6 Seconds to grab your web site visitor's attention. If you don't, that visitor will go to a competitor’s web site.
