Elements 6 help -- What is a document.

Howdy.

I am using Scott Kelbys Element 6 book, attempting to learn to crop using the rule of thirds.

In the directions, he instructs you to create a new "document."

Except, I can't find anything called a document.

Help!?!?!?

I think you just go to file>new and hit open...

Yes, but there is nothing call a document there. There is Blank File, which I tried, but then the rest of the process does not work.......

I think it means just open a new image.

Thanks. Apparently, document is now blank file (document perhaps from a previous version of elements). The reason that "blank file" wasn't working was because I was not in full edit mode.

In any case, all is good now. Thanks for the help!
