First time I've spotted what I assume is chalcid wasps mating. These three were running all over a columbine flower. Body length about 2.5mm. Taken at 3:1, no chance for focus stacking :)

Great colour arent they, and of course have chosen a lovely background colour to show their colour off.

I can see why you like these little jewels, they are very photogenic albeit hard to to nail.

What beautiful looking wasps! I'd love to get a shot of one of these. I don't care if they're stacked or not, you captured the movement and activity well as is. Well spotted and captured as always Brian.

that is some nice shots Brian. good job getting them all in frame, and in focus. very intersting find for sure.
