ok i got one from ebay says off-on-2s-b

when i have my camera in M and set bulb on shutter/ iso 100 it starts to count right away" took pick heard shutter" and stays counting? the top know is set to B on the phottix? whst is wrong or what am i doing wrong?

Are you trying to use it with the g9 or what?

no using it with the 40d, it seems to keep shutter open and counts never stops. not sure purpose of that? not even sure if thats right?

Is there a G9 version for the G9? Maybe that's why you are not getting a answer. (this is a G9 forum)

I think your remote is fine. Take a look at this video. It shows that "bulb" mode can be used 2 ways.

B is bulb mode. That is the purpose of that function, to keep the shutter open until you press the button again.

If you just want it to fire the camera, set the camera to the shutter speed you want, set the remote to "on" and push the button to take the picture.

I use that remote (Phototix) with my Nikon D2x via the 10 pin socket on the D2x body.
The G9 has no such socket (of any sort) other than USB which the camera requires that you use their software. USB distance limit is the only problem with that.

Maybe there's a Bluetooth to USB that would work. The Bluetooth limit is about 30 feet.
