Hi Bigbitt,
I took a look at your photos, and I thought alot of them were very good. Now might be a good time to add a news lens to your kit and shoot some different styles. I for one would be interested to see how you would compose photos of human subjects.
See ya,

Lots of nice commentary on life in a small town. I think that the clever titles are the best part of your gallery. The one titled "My Mother's Dead Trees" is very reminiscent of one done by A. Aubrey Bodine. Interestingly, he published two versions of his picture and the only difference is one of them is upside down (but, which one)! In his composition, there are some trees in the distant background, but their reflection does not show up in the water (vampire trees perhaps). It makes it even more interesting in the upside down version because there is a reflection of the trees in the water, but where are the invisible trees that are producing the reflection? Could this be an inverse vampire tree? Anyway, show the photos of A. Aubrey Bodine (and also a few of those by Ansel Adams) to those who say that putting the horizon in the middle of a landscape picture is verboten. The "rule" (not really a rule, but more like a conformist notion) of thirds is handy, but do not let it slow you down. After all, nobody said that you can't crop an image.
I think that you have talent that is like a diamond in the rough, but the brilliance shines through the lack of experience that I see you overcoming.
If you do not know about A. Aubrey Bodine, he was a well known photojournalist during the mid-twentieth century. It is probably because he was a working photojournalist that he is not as well known as the photo artist, Ansel Adams. A lot of information about him and his work can be located through a Google search of his name.
My suggestion on lenses might seem unorthodox to most, but I think that a fixed lens like the Canon 100 mm macro would open up some opportunities for you based on what I perceive as your inquisitive nature in photography. A macro lens also requires a slight shifting of paradigms in how photography is approached (don't you just love shifting paradigms).
Keep up the good work.

One more comment. The large versions of the pictures seemed to load rather slowly. You might consider some other service like PBase for hosting the pictures and then linking to them from your web site.

Very nice. You have a knack for patterns. No. 18 really jumped out at me.
One minor suggestion... your name and the name of your site is already very long. I would suggest not using your fullname as your e-mail address. Unless there's two Clints that might be confusing for some, haveing your e-mail address as simply clint@cli... would be simpler and better, I think.

I was going to say the exact same thing! I was even going to suggest shortening the domain name as well, to maybe something like bittenbinderphoto.com or something similar. Though if your intention is just to share photos with family and friends it's not really a huge deal.
At the very least though, I've follow photoguy's advice to change the email address.
The photos themselves are great though! Having a "This is Everything" gallery where you just drop everything into may come back to haunt you later.
