Hello again:

Time for MORE pics of my 8.5 month old daughter Julia!! I am totally in love with this kid and the 135 F2 lens............I swear that she thinks I have one eye......all she ever sees is the camera lens! Hopefully when she gets older she will appreciate all the photos of her that exist. (provided that the burned Photo CD's are still operational!) The first pic is from my newest lens the 100F2.8 Macro. Very impressed with this lens and what quality you can get!! Not the 135F2 but for a budget concious shooter, this might be the perfect portrait lens! Second one is with my 'war ravaged' 70-200F2.8 L........not that white anymore because most of the paint has been scraped away!

She's beautiful! I love her cheeks! I have an 11 1/2 month old son that has had nearly 2500+ pictures taken of him. He knows what to do when the camera comes out!!

How do you like the news 70-200F2.8? Sharp? Heavy?

Great pictures. I think the 3rd one with the 70-200mm might be my favorite, although I like the second one too.

What are you using to soften the external flash? Is it an Omni-Bounce, or something else?

Thanks for looking and the compliment!!! As I mentioned, I am really impressed with the 100 f/2.8 Macro lens. This is one SHARP piece of glass and really well-built. I got a great deal on a used one from the FM forums and it is nice to have..........I really wasn't expecting it to be used as a portrait lens!:D

Thanks for the compliment!! Yes, her cheeks are filling out nicely.
I think I am a little extreme with # of photo's taken so far........I counted just last week and I think I am approaching 9000:eek: !!

Thank you Drisley! The 'NEW' 70-200 f2.8 is great but not so new!! It is REALLY heavy compared to the F4 version of this lens, but totally useable. I really enjoy using the zoom but I am getting more used to using primes. I think one looks differently at a picture or a scene when your feet become the zoom mechanism! As far as sharpness, I have looked closely at what the F4 version did and what this F2.8 does and I can't really see a difference as far as sharpness. The F4 is still an incredibly sharp lens and excellent value. My version of the f2.8 is a war-ravaged item...........honestly, not many people would purchase a lens that looks like this but the glass is clean and the focus mechanism works flawlessly on my DRebel. I will have to post a picture of this beast sometime........I am sure that many people would be shocked!!;)

The 2nd pic is actually done with the 70-200f2.8! The 3rd is the 135 f/2.........I think my favourite lens right now........

Good call with the Omni-bounce! This is what is attached to my 420EX.......works great!

Thanks for the comment! Once again, this lens is wonderful for the price. I still haven't really used the MAcro side of things but apparently it is great for that as well as portraiture...........

It must be interesting (to say the least!!) to have four girls running around which one can photograph!! I think I would have to buy a camera per year if I had this situation!!
