I'm looking for a monitor that is great with color correction, easy on the eyes, and does not have to be the best of the best. I might need to get a color correcting accessory with this. Any suggestions? :-?

Consider the Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 930SB, a 19" monitor. I did quite a bit of research before purchasing and was impressed with the reviews. It's price is reasonable. I see the Diamond Pro referenced frequently when photographers who own it want to let others know that they are viewing images on a good monitor.

A very brief search yielded this: http://reviews-zdnet.com.com/4852-3175_16-20281116.html?tag=uo

Do some research on your own - I think you'll be impressed.

I love Sony aperture grill monitors.

Mitsubishi and others also make excellent aperture grill monitors. For me 19" is the minimum size,. but some will use 17"

I have a LaCie monitor. It's a great monitor and half the price of the Sonys. That also makes it twice the price of many others.... However, I like what I see.

I picked up a second 21" recently, HP p1130. It is 21", dual inputs (can switch between 2 computers with a hand toggle on front) .24 ap grill with a sony trinitron tube. GREAT monitor, it even puts my 21" high end viewsonic to shame. It is vibrant and stays calibrated when first turned on, or run for hours on end (some CRTS color changes slightly as the monitor warms up).

Anyways, if you look hard you can usually find them for about $675 I(it was recently discontinued). Auctiondepot.com has them available for $95 right now, 3 of them in stock, auction ends at 10pm eastern tonight. I got mine from here and it is awesome! They may be refurbs or out of business new stock. My brother and myself both got the latter.
