Turn off buying option with smugmug?

Hey all,
Is there a way to turn off the buying option if i open a smugmug account? I sell at craft fairs and would really like some place on the web. I would like to handle all of the printing/matting/shipping etc. by myself though. Is there a way with smug mug to turn off the buying option and instead i could just have the customer email me what they want?

I have a pro smugmug account,

there is a button to check yes or no for direct print sales through smugmug

not sure about the other levels or smugmug, but i think for basic smugmug account, you can't sell images.

since you don't want direct print sales, might i suggest the basic level.

but do check the T&C of basic if they allow any form of sale at all, direct or not.

With the basic smugmug account you can sell photos but you can not set the prices or profit from the sale. If you want to turn off this feature all you need to do is click on "customize" gallery and then turn off the print option and be sure to click on "save" at the bottom of the page for the changes to take effect.

After you add up your time, printer paper, printer ink, printer wear-n-tear, postage, and the hassle, is it worth handling this by yourself?

So if you do it all yourself you make an extra 77 cents. Is it worth it?

Smugmug also handles all complaints and re-prints if a customer is not happy for any reason with their order.

I agree with Todd except Smugmug charges for shipping which I believe he left out of the "doing it yourself" option. It was included in the cost only where smugmug charges additional as should you.

I love my smugmug account but for self-fulfillment, it's not the place to go (yet;)).

True, they do charge shipping but they charge the customer, not you.

If you do it yourself, you will have to pay for shipping yourself. But you could pass it along to the customer.

I just like the idea of taking pictures and not having to mess the other stuff.

Why not just price your work on smugmug so that if any buys it your happy?

Thats what i am going to do. Price it and sell it myself. I want to take care of the printing and matting.

If you have a basic account only upload a small version of the photo, since there is no protection (for the basic account) and people can right click and save it.
