?? About printing at Sam’ Club or Walgreens (Fuji machine)



1. Should I convert my Tiff images to JPEG. Does converting to JPEG make a big difference? What do you recommend? I have converting my files to TIFF images RGB/16.



2. I have been using RGB Color mode. Should I be using CMYK color mode, does this apply to the Fuji photo processing machine.



For best printing results can any one tell me how they prep their files for printing on Fuji equipment?



I calibrate my monitor. My prints from Sam’s club seem to have less saturation. However, I seem to get better results from Walgreen’s. Has anyone experience this problem.





Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Some of the Sam's Clubs have their Fuji Frontier printers profiled by Dry Creek Photo. I do not know about Walgreens. Those profiles are available on the web at www.drycreekphoto.com (http://www.drycreekphoto.com).

If your editing software can use custom printer profiles, you may consider downloading the profile and embedding in your image to print at Sam's. Instructions are provided on the Dry Creek Photo site.

In addition to instructions on how to use the custom printer profiles, there are also instructions on how to size/prepare your photo, i.e.:



300dpi for the Frontier, 320 and 400 dpi for various Noritsu printers.
SRGB
Save as jpeg, 100% quality.
Tell the equipment operator to turn off all automated adjustments.

So, even if you do not use the custom profiles, you can still setup your photo properly for printing. Read the instructions on the site for more information.

Some Walgreens use the Fuji Frontier 350(?) printer. Many do not. Some are getting upgraded printers. You'll have to ask, or look here.

I've had very different color tints at different Walgreens. Make a test print that has an actual white & see what it prints like. You might download one of these:
