The headline event for this one was the "Fun Cup UK". Now whoever thought it was a good idea to build a load of VW Beetle lookalikes and make an endurance racing series out of them must have been sniffing paint-thinners....

1. 3 hours of GT racing is my idea of bliss. 3 hours of these things is another matter..

2. Andrew Gallacher's flame-spitting Focus again. The car's as nutty as a bucket full of squirrel turds.

3. This was later in the day from the Scottish Fiesta ST's. The Fun Cup was drawing nearer and i was feeling sleepy so i was doing 1/80th pans with a 500mm lens to amuse myself...it didn't work.

4. Apparently the best way to get a Mini Cooper to corner is to fling the damn thing sideways at full speed...I'm not sure how effective it was as quite a few of them skipped across the gravel trap.

I think a certain recovery crew said more than oops when trying to recover the car from the infield and the bar they were using to lift the car came away causing damage to the roof and smashing the windscreen:rolleyes:
