Can something be done with the timeout of the new post list?

I use the new posts list to get one listing with all new posts since my last visit because it is a convenient way to see/read new posts.

However the "timeout" is working against me. And the list definately works differently (and in my opinion worse) than in the old forum.

Scenario is this:

- I log on in the morning lets say at 0800, I use the list new posts to see new posts since my last visit, at this time the list is accurate
- I leave the browser window open but do something else
- When I return 4 hours later the list has been "reset" so I only see some of the new posts, on the old forum I would still see posts from 0800.

Also when viewing the new posts list refresh (F5) does not work. (F5 is quicker than having to move the mouse to the new posts link and click that).

Does the software offer a list/search that displays all posts in the last 24 hours? A list like that would work better for me than the way the new posts list works at the momemnt.

Yes this is because there is 30 minutes timeout on inactivity, and then those posts are marked read. It is tied to user cookie logout setting (online display) so setting this is a bit of a compromise now.

Have to check that out...

The link shows the search form, was that the intention?
