View Full Version : A Conflict of Effects? Light Humor with Elegance

First of all, after removing (most of) the yellow tint from the original, I'd like to know if this photo has any merit at all to others' eyes.
Second, I'd like to know what people think about the combination of what I would consider a very emotional dark exposure of a very elegant looking wedding gown and the less elegant money attached to it by pins and needles.
Opinions? Thanks for looking!

i don't really have any comment about the emotional aspect of it, but the picture overall is very bad quality, especially the severe underexposure on the top - the arm looks a very unnatural color. maybe you were going for this look? i'm not really a fan. sorry.

It was a black lady. The other comments are fair.

First, it doesn't look like a "dark" exposure to me. To me, a Zone System photographer, the exposure looks proper.
I think that regardless of how tacky it may seem to wear money on a bridal gown, we have to admire and respect the "keeping alive" of unique traditions of different cultures. In that regard, this image was tastefully executed
Congratulations!

so i went and looked at your portfolio, and this same picture is there...except it has normal colors. when i'm looking at the one posted here, the arm looks very reddish and there's a severe purple haze on the right side. so looking at the one in your portfolio, i take back what i said.:) am i the only one seeing the one posted here in weird colors?

While the one in your portfolio is of slightly different coloring - the two renditions are certainly more alike than different. No big deal - they both look fine.

No DrFil, I can see a blue/purple haze on the right too, but the screen I'm on isn't the best :-(
As for the shot .. it is a good shot of an event that happened at the wedding.
