i no these images are nothing special but it is a first attempt, would like some kind of critique good or bad!

First of all don't take this to heart, it's a critique.

Both images are very flat and lack contrast/colour - I would suggest that you check the levels on each image and perhaps boost the saturation and a little sharpening wouldn't go a miss either.

As for the images - When you take a shot of a flower decide what part you want as the subject - is it the whole flower or just the stamen, if its the latter then compose the shot so that its interesting - if its the whole flower then watch what is behind and narrow your DOF to help blur the background out.

Compositionally the last image is the better of the two (imo) it has a "gentle flow" about it but needs some further work.

thanks a lot for that, i didnt take it to heart lol, because they where only a quick attempt at it but thanks very much for that i shall take it into consideration next time i shoot flowers!
