Noise in my phots...

I am happy with the look of my shots after sharpenning 1 pass unsharpen mask 120 2 2... or there abouts but when i choose the share option in PSE6 the image attached to my email is noisy beyond belief even though my saved image on my Mac is just grand...

Am i missing a vital step ??

When you say "noise", does it look like ISO noise, or Jpeg noise?

Thats a very interesting question of which i am not sure but as the image was shot at only 400 135Lf2 on a 40D and looks great otherwise i am going out on a limb and giving a best guess and saying Jpeg noise...This is new to me...
I can email you one when i get home...

Yeah, it sounds like the Share function is compressing the image to buggery (in order to be able to send the pic to granny on her dial-up connection, I guess).

I was thinking of saving the image in Iphoto and trying the email from there...

What's your conscientious objection to simply resizing the image in PSE (to 800px wide, for example) then saving it as a jpeg? (As another name, of course, so you don't save over your original)
