Did you fire flash in the last shot?

Nope, no flash Gu... just a very good set of floodlights - it was nice to be shooting at 1/500s at f/2.8 (admittedly at 3200ASA)! If you get to see a copy of today's Non-League Paper, you can see some of my pics from this game on pages 36, 37 and 38... Grays Athletic are a full-time Conference outfit and they've invested in some very good facilities, particularly in the floodlight department!!!

That's some damn good floodlight they put on there, very impressive job indeed!

Thanks Stoney - it was the top of the table team against the team fourth in the table, so they were all taking it pretty seriously!

Wow ! that's at iso 3200..
impressive. I would think that if you told someone that you used such an high iso, they would be compelled not to believe you.

Did you have to do any/muck noise reduction.

Thanks mr photoguy. I didn't need any noise reduction on these - the MkII has a pretty good performance at high ISO - thanks to the good floodlights at the venue, I was able to keep the histogram nicely to the right.

Things start to go pear-shaped when you underexpose by 1/2-1/3 of a stop at these high ISOs, even if shooting RAW. Because of the deadlines I often work to, I am normally obliged to shoot in high-res jpeg so it's important to nail the exposure every time.
