So I wasn't going to go to this comp, until I heard 2 of my buddies from the states were headed up. Knowing they are some of the best in the world at this, I loaded up the gear and headed for the park.

Glad I went, even tho I got lost on the way.

More as the gallery comes along. A teaser, as it were.

Looks like you've captured some real keepers there. Good thing you went.;)

In some of those shots the guys look like they're coming dangerously close to the roof. Is that just an optical illusion created by the camera angle? Nice work.

Well in that part of the parc they weren't super close, but it was tight. I will post a few in a bit of someone dropping into the super pipe...6' vertical on an 18' pipe. His hip is about 1'2" from the rafter. SUPER sketchy. If it was a vert comp, they would all have busted their heads open. (the rider pictures tho is 6'8", so that makes a difference, for what it's worth).

Thanks for the compliments by the way! Amazing what a little post processing can do.

The light was beyond horrible. I had to blast everyone in the face with the flash, full power.

I was thinking to myself, geez, even with a really fast lens, it looks almost DARK at that place! Be glad they let you use flash. It could cause someone to wipe out maybe.

Well, the riders complaining isn't much of an issue. I am friends with all the guys that were there, and race pro as well. Flashed don't bother riders as much as you would think.

Hey transcend, you are into mountain biking as well? You may know me! (I am known in the biking world as "Andrew C" or "Crazyfoo88") Are you going to the Freuban Fest in Ottawa next month?

Anyways, I enjoyed the photos, Ebbett is an awesome rider!

Andrew, I just spoke with Jose last week and I will be at the event shooring. One of my team riders will also be competing (I run the Orange team over here).
