http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif niece dropped in last week with her parents and two brothers

I took this shot as she was going home

I have it in bl/wh and like this
and couldn't make up my mind which I like best
(to give her)

I had both pictures here (for a second )
but together they are a bit overpowering

Very Nice photo Marie, post the B&W so we can see it also. What a cute young girl, and I love the Santa's cap with the pigtails. :) :) :)

Interesting that you chose to lower the saturation... It's a shame, highlighting the touches of red and her eyes would make the pop out more.

thank you very much
Mike, Eosd£0freAk, Sandy and Jinushaun

sorry Mike
I took the second picture off before I posted

Sandy
here's the bl/wh

and jinushaun here is the colour

the reason I started messing with the colour were the spots on her face
also the face was a little too reddish

her beautiful eyes seemed to come out better in the other 'colours' .
the first shot here and the bl/wh.
I tried different ways for a long time when I first took the pictures
and then left it.

done a few different versions and couldn't make up my mind which I liked best .
but thought her eyes looked best either the bl /wh or the #1 shot
(first one on the post)

I prefer the colour for an all over view as it is a christmas type of shot
so needs the red to show the bows etc
but then thought I rather how her eyes appear in the others

Doesn't work as well in B&W for me, but a nice candid shot, as someone else said, She has lovely eyes.

I have to agree the color is the better choice on this one. Still a lovely photo.
