You will notice that in the following images there are no elk smooches or for that matter, no hanky panky of any kind. :) :)

Nice work buddy. The bird came out way better than mine did.http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif

It was a great day and in the cold weather the elk don't slobber as much though their tongues seem to be a little more active.http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/rolleyes.gifhttp://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/rolleyes.gifhttp://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/eyes3.gifhttp://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/eyes3.gif

Beautiful shots of the wolf Ian, MY GAWD look at all the snow!!!  . That's one sweet shot of the bird, love the contrast against the bark of the tree.
Hmmm you weren't game to get a little smooch from the wolf? You couldn't convince Sheldon that it was his turn to try it.

Great shots Ian. Looks like you guys picked a good day to go to the park. I am am so jealous. If I lived in Montreal, I'd be looking forward to each fresh snow. "Hey look, it's snowing. Maybe we should go get some wolf pictures."

BTW, I'll be in Montreal tonight. Too bad it's a short overnight. We land at 11:00 pm and have to depart at 9:00 am. By the looks of your pictures I better pack my winter coat.

I love Nuthatches. They are such happy birds. Here we are the end of December and still no snow in Minnesota. I'm getting a little impatient.

Great shots! .... the look on Mr. Wolf's face in #2 is kinda scarey. I hope the fence between you and him is very, very tall.

PS: What's all that white stuff on the ground? ;-)

Love the first, nice shot.

I hate to be the one to say this Ian and please dont take offence but did that wolf "cock its leg" on the first tree to the right of the picture? There seems to be a bit of a yellow stain in all of that white! LOL
Great shots
David

Very nicely done, Ian. They look so crisp and sharp. Which lens(es) did you use for them, especially the nuthatch?

All the shots were taken with the 70-200 f/2.8 and 1.4 Canon TC. I love that combo.
