I took this with a point & shoot in macro mode, then some processing to sharpen and bring out the texture of the metal.

I think you could use a bit more depth of field and still separate it successfully from the background. As it is, pieces of the wire are going out of focus.

It's an interesting composition...definitely not something I would have thought of. A very good job of taking something very ordinary and turning it in to "art". I do have to agree with Bob though...a little more DOF is called for. Especially the blur in that bottom right corner is distracting.

Thanks everyone. Yes I was disappointed about the DOF but unfortunately my point & shoot lacks an aperture control.
