Took another short hike at Devil's Hopyard. Here are a few shots I took while there:

Nice job Karina, Love the moss and tree one, Neat covered bridge, and a nice sliky look to the waterfall. I really like that one in B&W. I'd like to see the bridge in color see how it looks, just being nosey :D :D

They're all nice, but I really like the waterfall. Good work.

Thanks for the comments everyone :D

Here is the bridge in color. Not much color this time of year and with the replaced planks on the bridge I thought it made a better B&W. In the spring it may be better in color. I just hate this drab, colorless time of year :::sigh:::

the 2nd one looks so beautiful... both in B&W and color.... but B&W wins by a slight margin...

Maybe not much color this time of year but I do like that one in color also. Theres some nice contrasts in the different woods, the moss on the roof and the evergreens very nice. :) :)

Karina, I think those pictures are great. I would love to see that covered bridge after some snow has fallen. I bet it would give it that classic look.

karina, as others have mentioned, nice shots! Did you use a shutterspeed of around 1\8sec for the waterfall?

I actually used 1/4 of a second (.25) and a AV of 16 using ISO 100. The waterfall is super powerful this time of year. I photographed it in it's entirety but was not happy with the results. It photos much better when there is not so much water rushing so heavily over the ledges. I think Springtime will make for some nice shots. I do plan to revisit them once things freeze up more here in CT, too. :)

Nicky, I think you are right about the snow. I went back over that way but I wimped out when it came to hiking through the deep snow to get the shot LOL I got snow in my boots...BRRR!!! Maybe I will try and get a shot later today with snow. Hopefully it isnt too tainted with muddy footprints, etc.
