PR1 and PR3 are for Photo Paper Pro. PR3 is of higher quality than PR1. Now, write that down so you won't forget. :D
{Hey, my i9900 only has PR2. You have PR3. I'm jealous! :(]

PR3 is on the new Pixma series. Wasn't too sure what it was. Thanks Leo

You know, that's the same doc I got my information from but re-reading it again, I see that you may actually be right about that. This is what I had read the first time:
* If there is no ICC profile for a particular number available
in the print quality bar, use a higher print quality number
than the number currently selected.
But, of course, if I had bothered to carefully read the next sentence and then check out the graph, I would have known better:
For example, SP3 is
selectable in the print quality tool bar, but is not available
in the ICC profile, so use SP2 instead.
Wow, I've been printing in PR2 mode all this time thinking it was the best. And I was impressed with the printout. I guess that means I'll be even more impressed when I switch to PR1. :)
Thanks for the correctlion, Dale.
OK, Ian, take what I said previously and reverse it. BTW, I don't feel jealous of you anymore. :p

FYI I have tried using Ilford Classic Pearl (with Ilford Profiles) and this stuff rocks! To me it gives more detail than Canon Photo Glossy Plus and even better than Canon Pro. I have a boat load of both to go through but I believe that I'll be switching to Ilford in the future. Give it a try Leo.

So how did you set the profile on the printer? Did you download one from an Ilford site?

Ilford has all their profiles listed as well as their recommended settings for just about every printer out there. Easy download and in the zipped file are install instructions as well as settings. I must say that their suggested setting were dead on. Congrats to them.

I just purchased some of this from Adorama, locally all I could find was the Canon Photo Paper Pro and the rest. The comments on this forum said it was great. Also, Ilford makes a paper that is 11 x 17 (Canon does not), and this would be great for the Digital Rebel images that I want border to border without needing to add a color border. The maximum image that I have found for the Digital Rebel image is 11 x 17 (unless I am doing something wrong). If you have any corrections about my assumption of the image size on the Digital Rebel, please let me know.
