Hello!
Today I decide to get downtown to take this pictures, both taken with my S70.
First one:
Tv 2"5
F4.5
+-0
Cloudy Mode
RAW
ISO AUTO
I open it with PS CS, and I don't modify nothing at all, this is a JPG from the RAW, in Adobe RGB. (Whats better? sRGB? Adobe RGB?)
Please give me some advice, I'm learning.

The second one:
Tv 2"
F3.2
+1
Cloudy Mode
ISO AUTO
RAW
Well, thanks for all comments in advance.

Your first shot is the better of the two. If possible, try shooting it at dusk or dawn - when the sky still has come color & there is a small amount of ambient light. You'll be amazed at the difference!

Thanks TBoyd, i will try this same shot in a few days, like 30 or 45 minutes earlier.
Try to get there but the traffic don't let me get there in time yesterday jeje.
What about the composition?
Take care.

Use a higher F - stop.
I like the first one though.
Use your lowest ISO also, forget about using iso - auto.

Thanks!
Higer F-stop, and lower ISO.
Never again ISO AUTO.
So, when I shot at night, I can use ISO 50, and use 200 or 400 when shooting daylight or movement?
Thanks again.
Here it is a color correction I do to the first one, but i will shot that again with all the coments you giveme, in the weekend.

Yeah at night I would leave it on iso -50. That's where my S230 stays at all the time.
You can use iso 200 and 400, but the image quality won't be really good, it will be pretty noisy. I found this out from my S230 and my G3. I did however use iso 400 in the day and then ran the image through noiseware to remove the noise.
At night, I usually play with my F stops, and let the camera choose the shutter speed. If the image is stationary like your image, then I will start taking photo's at F8 and then keep on using higher number F stops until the image comes out the way I want it to.
Image looks ok to me though.
The S70 let's you choose the Aperature or the Shutter speeds?

Yes it does.
The S70 has:
AUTO/IMAGE ZONE: Auto, portrait, landscape, night scene, fast shutter, slow shutter, stitch assist and movie.
CREATIVE ZONE (The good one): P (Program AE), Tv (Shutter Speed-Priority AE), Av (Aperture-priority AE), M (Manual Exposure) and C (Custom).
Thanks a lot for the advice!

No Problem. I like the night photo that you took.
I would just go back and try it again and see what you will come up with. Make sure you have your photo quality at L or at the highest setting.

PERFECT!
I usually shot in RAW or in JPG L Suprefine (3072x2304)
So then, just wait for the new photo in a few days.
Thanks again!

The composition looks great. When you go back to shoot again, try taking the same shot with the S70 as close to the ground as you can get, as well as from your original vantage point.

That sounds nice!
I will try it.
Think I will be taken this shot again saturday or sunday, in the week days, its dificult for me to go, because of my work its not near this area of the city! And Mexico City its huuuuuuge jejeje
And there are a few other ones I want to shot, in downtown.
But I'm sure that with all your comments I will improve this photos!!!
Thanks!
