For a long time Ian has been telling us about his secret deer location. As Scott and Leo can attest to everytime we went there we came up pretty much dry.

We ventured out Saturday morning again with my expectations being rather low. So guys, they really are there. We must have seen close to 50.

This is a lousy shot but does show that they were there.

And a couple of more

I hate the red tag on the deer but it was the best one of them jumping.

You didn't take an carrots this time?

Great photos though, you must be tempted to clone out the red tag in the 3rd one, its a perfect jumping sequence, looks like the same deer on a double exposure.

The last two are great (even despite the red tag). They sure can get some air when they jump...

Unbelievable.

Truly unbelievable.

I simply can't believe that Ian could bribe you to lie to us about deer at Rigaud. Where was this, really??

Truly unbelievable.

Believe me I was as skeptical as always and the day did start out very slow. I was thinking that this was going to be another one of "those" days. Most of them were way too far to shoot but they were there nonetheless.

Best keep this in mind if you come up for the January GCPS. It is a toasty -36 with the windchill this morning. http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif

Bah. -36C just sounds cold. In Fahrenheit that's only -33. See? It's already 3 degrees warmer in Fahrenheit.

Yeah, right. Desert deer in shorts and RayBans.

Tom, put the tequila down and step away from the peyote...
