not fair, tropical posters shouldn't be allowed- we can't compete! Lovely light on #1. The last two look like composites you have made up, amazing species.:mrgreen:

Excellent captures - think #3 must be an "easy rider" moth :) #4 is a mixed up insect construction kit :)

Thanks for your lovely (and funny) comments :D.
@johnkermit1: these were all taken in Malaysia, mostly in FRIM (http://www.frim.gov.my/whoweare.htm) (Forest Reserve Institute of Malaysia0 :)

Beautiful lighting on #1 - very dreamy like smooth shot. What sort of gear (at a guess, 40d + 180 f3.5L).

@Dave, i use a Tamron SP90, as for the slr, from the dark side..you can see the exif which is still intact :)

Ah, I was too lazy to check the exif ;) I did check your flickr site out, and noted that it was a Tammy 90mm, beautiful shots.

Oh i see. I use Opera. It has a builtin exif viewer so viewing exif is a breeze - just a right click. Same for FIrefox but with an add-on :)

The lighting on the butterfly is wonderful. Terrific shot.

As for the giraffe weeveil... If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed it. What a wonderfully strange creature.

Very nice series. #1 is my fav, and I don't normally like butterfly photos. The weevil sure is interesting too, but be nicer if it was looking towards you and/or more of the body was in DOF.
