decent action, but horrible WB.

Pretty noisy on top of the WB issues. Great action and could benefit from faster shutter speeds. Not sure what gear you were shooting on but HS basketball in a typical gym usually means f/2, 1/640 and as high ISO necessary to get that 1/640 on the shutter. On my 7D, that usually means ISO 1600 or 2500.
