Please note that this is not mine.I noticed this while trawling the local ebay site and remembered that alot of you guys are interesting in this model.Hey i would LOVE one but it'll be way out of my price range:( :(
Please be carefull though,it does look dodgey! First time seller with no feedback. Also no picture of the lens at all. I'll ask ebay to check him out and see if i can find out for sure weather it's kosher or not:)
stay tuned!

You might have more luck on the 'Marketplace' forum :)

I'm not sure I need it, I surely want it and definetely can't afford it... :(
The guy is not exactly B&H but I believe it's kosher anyway... payable via bank deposit also means, as far as I know, in case of fraud, you get his name, address and the rest.

These lenses come up for sale more frequently than you'd think on ebay. Mostly from Asian sellers. I'd love one but can't afford the $3000-3500 cost. I shoot a lot of low light concerts with gel lighting and a 1.8 lens would keep me shooting at iso 800 instead of 1600 or higher.
Most pros consider this one of Canon's best lenses along with the 400 2.8.
I'll put it on my xmas list but I'll probably get a lump of coal instead.

All I would say about that advert is that for an Australian, he seems to have a very poor grasp of the English language...

Ah, this again! The seller is genuine. A member from another photo forum here in Perth went to have a look at it and the lens does actually exist. But from memory it wasn't in the best of condition so he didn't buy it. The guy selling it is Swiss or German I think.
