Hi G2 experts,
I just got my G2 2 weeks ago and just like a new born baby in photography world as well, need some advices from members in this forum.

I am thinking to re-take the old pictures my family have using G2 to convert it to digital format since the film itself ages for 20-30 years old already.

Should i use macro shot for this ? or with which mode i had better use to produce a cool result ?should i do it outdoor or indoor ? with/out flash ? .. well, sorry for the stupid question, but i'll appreciate it. TIA !

Hi - I assume you're interested in taking shots of old print photos - since if you still have the negatives, a slide/film scanner would be the method of choice.

But - if you're doing old photos then have a look at:
www.rideau-info.com/genealogy/digital/

I set up this site with general info for any camera, but I use a G1 and the G2 should work just as well (or even better). The section you will be most interested in is the "making digital copies of old family photos".
