I'm sick and tired of $130-$140 a week to fill my truck up. This $4.70 cents for a gallon of diesel is killing me. I am going trade my truck in and downsize.
I've noticed that I haven't really picked up my camera much. Used to, I'd grab my camera bag and go drive and see what I could find. Now, I don't drive somewhere unless it's absolutely necessary. So I find that i just chance my daughters around the house, or go out in the yard.
For me I know it's affected my habits, just curious if anyone else's photography habits have changed as well?

Not really....but it is only a matter of time...I guess we do carpool a bit more for shoots.

I'm totally not as apt to jump in the car and chase a storm thats over 50 miles away. It really sucks. I know I'll make some people sick when I complain about gas being "only" $3.73 a gllon, but it's killing us. I'm just glad sports has slowed down for the summer and I don't have to haul kids all over town all week for various games and practices.

There's a wildlife preserve that I've definitely had to stop going to like I used to, as it's a good 30 mile drive away...

It has virtually eliminated my personal snapping. If I can't do it in on my property and it's not incidental to somewhere else I need to go, I simply don't do it.

everything costs more, and work is slow.
restaurants are more expensive too and so is lodging. i was thinking about taking my dog and camera to monterey tomorrow for a couple of days.
with gas, motel and food that about $400 for two days. i usually take at least a weekend out of town every 6-8 weeks but i may only go for one night.
and it's going to get worse, and for longer than most think .

Hmm, over $10 a gallon here in the UK and it hasn't changed me much. I guess we're used to paying silly prices. :D

Does this mean you are going to have to change your user name too.;)

Yes. Try paying >$10 a gallon.
The topic of discussing fuel prices is always ending badly so I will spare us all that grief and close this thread.
