Lambo's are yellow - it's the natural order of things. This is messing with nature :p

I would like to know how much the artist paid for such an extensive pallet. Good PS work. I'd be interested to see where the original shot was taken.

I wonder how the artist was able to "draw" on the windows. Also, would the body have been given a couple good coats of clear to protect it? Regardless beautiful shot

It could easily be done with Sharpie white paint markers , or simple as laying down some white vinyl.

I will attempt to answer as many of the comments...

I forgot the exact number of sharpie markers the artist went through but its in the 100's. There is definitely some sort of clear coating on the body of the car, it is apparent the closer you get. The windows are done with silver sharpie. I can not remember the name of the artist, but he is pretty well known. The whole process took a couple of weeks.

There was clearly some pp work involved in this photo. The car belongs to the owner of Prestige Imports, and I am tying to pick him up as a client. Hope he enjoys it as much as some of you have!

it looks nice but it also looks like you swapped that car into that backdrop as the wheels dont look like they belong on that ground if that makes sense.

Caspita

the wheels dont look like they belong on that ground if that makes sense.

I darkened the wheels to go along with the rest of the darkness/contrast look of the scence, but it looks much better in the hi-res version.

It has just been converted to B&W, and the contrast has been bumped a bit

The car, background, and sky aren't put together very well. Its really obvious that they were put together. Try using a softer brush when layer masking to create softer joining lines.

There went the value on that car

Be interesting, is it worth more now being a a canvas masterpiece or less because, well it's marked on. Only Lambos can have this done, try it to a Ferrari and heads will roll!

Google brings up a lot, there's also a Flickr page.

I've read your site, and it was genuinely an inspiration to me; As someone who has always doted on Lamborghini's since a young age, the idea of owning one seems so very distant.. But the site gave me a little bit of hope :D

That said, you have no idea how much I envy you, lol.

IIRC wasn't there one that was gold plated? I think I recall pictures circulating the internet a few years back.

I'm not digging it at all. I actually feel bad for that poor car. Nevertheless, a wonderful picture.

Personally... I think it ruins the car. Cars are made to be driven, not become a piece of art work. The car itself is art, it doesn't need any help from anyone. But, I must admit, that was pretty cool looking.

Jadam

I love it. Best looking lambo I've seen. Anything can become art. And to be honest super cars are perfect pallets for it. They are cars that in general respect are not daily drivers, and are use more as show cars cruising around town anyhow. If someone did this to their daily driver ford focus I think that would be less acceptable.

CorzyPhoto

That is for sure a sweet shot of the car..

As for the lambo... One word for that: Wow.

IIRC wasn't there one that was gold plated? Pushing the "LOOK AT ME!" factor to new, ridiculous limits. Maybe they could use it in a Viagra ad, "You don't have to gold plate your car anymore to get "attention"? ;)

The only thing that is irritating me about the photo is that gap in the roads isn't square. It makes it look conciderably off centre for me. If I was you shooting this, I would've centred the roads gap and cropped off the left and right and patches of sky, as the light on the drain walls doesn't correlate well with the sky.

Besides that it's very well lit and executed. All around a great photo :).

Thank you for the compliments. A lot of work went into creating the atmosphere for the car. I did not want to crop it too tight which is why I left the sky on the sides.

There's enough Lamborghini's to go around. Noone ruined anything. It's cool and unique and took a lot of talent to do that and I doubt ANY of us would complain if we had that sitting in our garage. I'm sure Lamborghini can whip out another car if they feel that this one is garbage :p. PP looks kinda awkward but cool picture nonetheless. I'm jealous that you got to see the car up close!

Seems like a logical path to take. It's their product that made the art. ;)

Maybe contact the artist and see what else he has done.

its a nice concept but no matter how much I look at that photo it looks fake. The wheels dont match the ground and the reflection in the driver side window does not match the place where the car is being placed. But either way its a very nice car!

Thank you for your comments. Believe me the wheels look perfect in the high resolution file. As for the reflection in the driver side window, maybe I have been staring at this picture for too long, but I do not see a reflection.
