Ok, i just got a canon rebel xsi and have begun learning about the world of photography..im still learning but wanted to get a few pics n show you guys so i can get some constructive criticism...i was playing with the settings, and yes i do realize the pics are a bit dark lol( my bf wanted to get some sky shots:rolleyes:)..but bare with me please! i know these are not great, just want to get some feedback on how to edit and so on...thanks alot

i was playin with the settings inside the car and happened to take this, thinks its pretty cool lol, think this is my favorite so far:lol:

You need a tripod :) but other wise nice.

by the way i used the basic kit lens that it came with, looking at the first two pics, they just look kinda blah to me lol

As my guitar teacher says Practice practice practice.

Also next time use the iso of 400-800 and hold the shutter down for like 30 seconds "on a tripod"

the composition in the second one is the best out of the three. I do agree about the tripod though. Essential if you want to shoot at night or in lowlight conditions.

Thanks for the reply:)...we actually did use a tripod...we had image stabilizer on as well while using the tripod...does that make any difference on how the picture comes out?

You should actually turn off IS when using a tripod. Not sure why, but it actually makes the picture blurry if you leave it on, which is a bit counter-intuitive.

There seems to be a lot of pixelisation in the first two pics, did it come out of the camera like this?
