I dropped my canon 10D the other day, it fell about 2 feet and hit the carpet, oops! Their doesn't seem to be any obvious damage and currently SEEMS to be working fine, the only bothering thing is that when I picked it up I gave it a quick shake to see if anything was loose and to my horror the camera replied with rattle. It doesn't sound like anything large has come loose and the noise is quite insignificant and only occurs in the same place each time so nothing is moving around the body. Is this normal, should the camera rattle anyway? please put me out of my misery

Next, Canon will offer the 10D with an airbag option.

Helpful post there Bob.

My 10D has always rattled a little. I think it's the orientation sensor... 10Ds are pretty tough. I wouldn't be too worried about 2ft onto carpet.

However, just to be on the safe side, I would suggest you check up on the 10D every once in a while for the next couple of days to make sure it doesn't start to show signs of internal hemorhaging.

BTW, welcome to the forum. :)
