View Full Version : Pics too dark with A75

I am shooting pictures of bicycle frames against a backdrop of a white garage door. My cheaper Polaroid PDC1100 did fine with auto mode, but with A75 pics seem dark.
This pic is taken in autofocus mode. The frame is purple and white, not the blue it came out.
Any suggestions?

what mode are you shooting in?? if auto then change to manual mode and over expose by one stop or just fix in photoshop.

If your camera has exposure compensation try setting it to +1 to +1 1/2. I was able to correct your photo easily using photoshop elements 2.0. If you will email me I will attach it and send it back to you.

It looks like your white balance is set incorrectly. Can you do a custom white balance setting? If not, perhaps you can reset it in EVU or DPP.

Underexposed and incorrect White Balance... Hooray for Auto mode! I recommend shooting in P mode next time if you plan on doing simple pointing and shooting. While still 'auto', P mode allows you to change WB to fix the colour and add exposure compensation to manually brighten the shot.

And no worries, you can correct all these problems in PS. :)

I agree that pre-setting the white balance should take care of it, but the one's you've taken should be easily fixed. I did this in thirty seconds with Photogenetics:

Someone with a real image editor and a little skill (not me, on either count! ) could probably make it look better.

Nice frame, BTW.
